Finding Your Sunshine

The workshop will explore the teachings from the book - The Woman Who Lost the Sun.

The Woman Who Lost the Sun uses metaphor to explore the inherent challenges of human psychology. Based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) teachings, the book focuses on the importance of developing psychological flexibility to help us deal with life’s challenges, allowing us to live a more mindful, value-based, and purposeful life.

In particular, the workshop will focus on…

-     bringing awareness to our own psychological barriers, including unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs and emotional struggle, that can cause us distress and keep us feeling stuck, particularly in the presence of ‘stormy’ weather.

-     mindfulness processes to help change the relationship we have with unhelpful thought patterns and emotional discomfort.

-     identifying our core values – the qualities we want to live by, moment by moment, to ourselves, others and the world. We will experience why being consciously connected to our values brings meaning and purpose to our lives.

Each participant will receive both a free e-copy and hardcopy of The Woman Who Lost the Sun to read before workshop.

Participants will also experience a sneak peek into the soon to be released Book 2 of the Being Human series – The Man and the Flower in His Pocket – and be introduced to a valuable tool to help stay grounded and choiceful in the experience of difficult emotions.
